I have no pictures :o( lol. Went CVS'ing today...

1 - Revlon Nail polish - 3.99. Used $1 Coupon. Got back $3 ECB.
2 - Bandaid (Go Diego Go and Hello Kitty, lol). $2.29 each...used 1 $1 coupon. Got back $2 ECBs x2.
1 - Playtex Gentle Glide - 3.99. Used $1 coupon. Got back $3 ECB.
2 - Speed Stick Pro deodorant - 3.99 each. Got back $3.99 ECB x 2.

Also got a Diet Pepsi... I went to FOUR different CVSs to try to find the Clearasil facewash that was on sale and the 1oz Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock for their ECBs...but was out of luck on both :o( The kids were sleeping in the car and we had nothing better to do, lol. I did get a raincheck for the Clearasil (2 actually, lol). So at least I can still go back for that later. I'll do another CVS trip later this week too for the regular sale stuff...most of what I got today was only on sale Sun and Mon...

I used ended up doing 3 transactions because I only had enough ECBs to do the nail polish, 1 bandaid, 1 speed stick, and the Playtex the first time...I paid $1.26 out of pocket and got back $11.99 in ECBs. At the second CVS I wasn't going to buy anything since they didn't have the Clearasil but saw they had Hello Kitty bandaids and we just ran out...those are Ava's favorite, so I got those and a Diet Pepsi. Didn't have all my ECBs with me, but I ended up paying like .76 out of pocket after the one I did have and getting $2 ECB. Third CVS I found the Speed Stick again and got that, ended up paying 0 out of pocket after using an ECB (LOVE those 0.00 total receipts! LOL) and got back a $3.99 ECB... and the fourth CVS didn't have what I needed to I left empty handed.

Not bad though... spent around $2 for a nail polish, two boxes of bandaids, a box of tampons, two deodorants, and a Diet Pepsi... and "made" 17.98 in ECBs...though of course I spent some of those...I think I spent $6 or 7...but I still have plenty to play with that I earned today, and $2 from last week still. Fun fun :o)

----

CVS Last week:

Spent 2.98 out of pocket for 4 Right Guard Deodorants, Colgate enamel protect toothpaste, 2 packs of Shick razors (travel sized, 2 razors in each), and a Lysol Neutra Air. The Right Guard was 2/$5, I had 4 .75 coupons...Lysol was 5.99, had a $4 coupon, the razors were .99 each, I had a $2 coupon that made both free (cashier only took off $1.98), and the Colgate was...oh I forget...3.99, and I had a $1 coupon...also used some ECBs that I had ($9). Got back:

$4 for buying 4 Right Guards...and $2 for the Colgate. Not too great, but at least it was something and I didn't pay much out of pocket...but then I also got the $10 ECB for doing a survey a few weeks ago :o) That was niiiice.

Target last week:

5 boxes of Triscuits at .54 a box after coupons ($2.70)
5 boxes of Wheat Thins at .54 a box ($2.70)
2 boxes of Quaker Chewy granola bars .81 each ($1.62)
5 boxes Quaker True Delights at .59/box ($2.95)
3 (1 pictured...girls ate the other 2) bags of Quaker granola bites - free after coupons...
7 Hersheys Bliss bars - free
2 Coppertone Sport travel size - free
Claritin ...I forgettttt, lol...I had a $5 coupon though!! lol..and Mike needed it.
2 Dove Go fresh packs (deodorant and body mist in each)... .29 each (.58)
9 Travel packs of Crystal Light - free
6 Kraft dressings, .49/each (2.94)
Also bought a box of diapers and a gallon of Swiss tea that was $2, and I had a $1 coupon, and I will send in their try me free rebate form to get $2 back, lol.... so my total spent was more than I would have liked but witht he Claritin and the diapers it wasn't bad.

Walmart -

All the nail polishes were free... lint rollers, free (and I still have more coupons for those things!! Oy....), lotion was free... the Glade was $1. Also not pictured was 4 boxes of Bagelfuls for .88/box and 4 bags of sunflower seeds I got free...lol. And tiki torch wicks and poppers (those things you throw and they pop?? lol)...but those weren't deals, lol.

Walgreens:

I messed up here, lol... but it's ok I guess.

Excedrin .79 for both boxes (total...it was $4.79 and they had a b1g1 coupon in their ad...so I could use 2 $2 coupons)
Carefree pads (2) were free plus overage (I don't even use those, lol..but I can't pass up free!! I'll donate them)
Right Guard Professional Strength - 4.99 (Gave me a $5 Register Reward)...and I had a $1 coupon, so it was 3.99
Reynolds Wrap was where I messed up, my coupon was expired :o( It would have been free if it wasn't...I thought about taking it back, LOL.
And then I picked up the forks and spoons since they were 2/$1 after the in ad coupon and we could use them for the bbq we had this past weekend.

Used a $4.50 RR and paid $3.63....got a $5 RR back.

AND,

I also got crafty the other night and made the girls some pillow cases. Not bad considering I don't have a sewing machine and just used stich witchery, lol!! I screwed up on the small ones...but I didn't actually take measurements, I just wrapped the fabric around the pillow and tried to cut it right...lol. Apparently not a good idea ;o) I knew it wasn't but I was just playing around, the only one I cared about was the big one for Charlotte's room.

May 13, 2009

Taaaaaaaaaaaaarget.

So after all the Kraft coupons came out my mom got her stuff together and decided we were going to Target, lol. I was mowing the back yard, but okay, I much prefer shopping, lol.

So this is what I ended up with...

And my receipt!! I was so excited, haha... The cashier was watching the total go down, down, down, and finally when it was at $2 she was like "Is it even legal to save that much?? It's like we're giving it to you! We may even have to pay you!" LOL. I was like "you're not giving the stuff to me, the store is reimbursed for the coupons so it's not illegal," and just laughed, lol.

Total paid: .93!! Saved with coupons? $80!!

And this was my Walmart trip a few days ago... all 6 of the bbq sauces were free, the toothpaste was free (travel size), the lint rollers were free, and the nail polish was free, lol. The paper was "free" because of the overage on the coupons, and the glass table topper was all I paid for!! :o)

May 10, 2009

It was a water bottle (it's actually really nice), a necklace that had ear plugs in it, a keychain tire thing that opens up and had a poncho in it, the hat, and a t-shirt...they were all in that clear backpack. The shirt was all folded up in the shape of a car so that's why it's all wrinkly. Ava was so excited it had to all be opened up and inspected immediately...no time for pictures! lol

KMART!!! Oh how I enjoy their doubles! Can't wait for them to do it again, lol.

So, the total "value" of all this (and I say "value" because I'm going by what Kmart charges, and while they do have sales and such I think most of their prices are higher than say, Walmart)...anyway, total "value" was $147.73!!

I did a few different transactions because you can only use 25 coupons per transaction, and only 4 of the exact same coupon, so I did a big one, and then a few more to get the rest of the Dove and to make sure the makeup rang up right... then Mike and I ran back in later for some drinks so I used my last Clean and Clear coupon to snag another face wash... so I added up the total of all of them (minus the cost of the soda, LOL, that sooo didn't count for this!) and it was $7.96. The TAX was $4.45. That's more than half of what I paid!!

Glade carpet freshener - $2.19. Had a $1 coupon doubled making it cost .19!
Oust Surface & Air - $3.79. $2 coupons, doubled to make them both FREE (2)
Wet Ones wipes - $2.29, $1 coupon made them .29/each (2)
2000 Flushes - $2.99, had a $1 coupon, made it .99 (Mike is obsessed with having those, lol)
Glade Candle - $3.49. I had a $1.50 coupon, so it was .49,
Glade candle refills - $3.69, had a coupon for buy a candle, get refills FREE
Ponds Towlettes - $2.75. Had a $1.50 coupon, made them free.
Halls cough drops - $1.49. $.75 coupon, made them free.
Clean & Clear face wash - $4.49/each, I had $2 coupons for each making them .49/each. (5)
NYC Lip Sliders - $2.99. I had $3 coupons for those, so they didn't double, but they made them free. (2)
NYC Lipgloss Rollers - $1.99. Had $1 coupons, made them free (I'm TOTALLY collecting these now, going to up them in party bags for any girls that come to Ava's birthday party). (2)
Dry Idea deodorants - $3.49. Used $2 coupons, free! (4)
Secret deodorant - $2.34... I think my coupon was for $1, making it .34
Dove Visibly Smooth deodorant - $3.99, $2 coupons made them free (12)
Sunsilk Shampoo and Conditioner $3 each, so $6. I had a $2 off 2 coupon, so it was $2, I was going to pass on that until I saw the bonus packs!! Two stuck together as buy one get one free, so it was 4 shampoos/conditioners for $2. Not bad... 50 cents each. (2 or 4 depending how you look at it, lol)
ACT mouthwash - $2.99... used a $1 coupon, so it was .99
Pounce Cat Treats - $1.29/each...used a $1.50 off 2 coupon, so it made them both free. (2)
Quaker Rice Cake snacks - $1.99..used a $1 coupon, made them free.

I also used a $5 off $50 Kmart coupon on the larger transaction... I full intended to only buy what was FREE but I couldn't pass up a few of the deals even with them not being free, lol. I totally wanted to see that tax and total were the same, lol... I'm such a nerd. I did pull that off with the transactions were I only purchased the Dove. Unfortunately you have to pay tax on the pre-coupon total.

Now, the drug stores :o) I went to Walgreens again but the 2 around here were both out of the Pert Plus for Men so I skipped out on my "2nd Transaction Scenario," but I did go to CVS and I tried Rite Aid but they didn't have enough of the products I wanted in stock to get 13 of them (to get the most bang for my "buck")...so I got rain checks and will go back later :o)

I did pick up two of these travel kits though at Rite Aid because they're normally $3.99, and were on sale for $1.99, and I had a $1 coupon that could be combined with a $1 Rite Aid coupon making them free. Fine print on the coupon said you could only use it once (the RA coupon) so I couldn't use it on both which sucked, but I didn't know what else to get that would be worth it to get me to actually have a total to pay, lol, so I just went ahead and got 2 since 2 for $.98 wasn't bad ($1.16 with tax..)... and I used the gift card they sent me for waging war with a coupon-mama who KNOWS HER STUFF, lol...so I wasn't actually spending anything anyway..and I still have plenty left on the gift card to buy 13 more with my rainchecks, lol.

The deal with that is buy $25 in J&J products, get a $10 rebate check. So you buy 13 of the things that were on sale for $1.99 to get your total up to $25, use the $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon available, use 13 $1 coupons (found everywhere, lol, some printables, some from the paper), and 1 of the coupons from the paper (but I can't use that one so my total will be higher than planned by $1...big deal) and pay $6.xx (in my case I'll pay $7.xx) and get a $10 check after submitting the rebate :o) Cha-ching! Love getting paid to shop! Doubly much because I'll be paying with my gift card, lol...so I'll be out of pocket NOTHING and still get paid.

CVS - I got lazy and just did 1 transaction...I was still upset I didn't have the coupon for the Adidas, LOL... I had originally planned to buy them each in seperate transactions to reduce my "out of pocket" cost... but since it was Saturday already and I felt funny asking the cashier to split my order up when my order was only two items...so whatever, lol. I used a $2 ECB, and that total after that was $4.10, I still had $3.99 on that gift card I won, so I ended up paying .11 for it all after that...and I had to use my card, LOL!!! I had a dime, but no other change and no bills... I felt so lame swiping my card for .11!... I got back $5 in ECBs to use next week though! :o) Ooooh and I also did a survey for CVS last week, so I should be getting $10 in ECBs next time I go to CVS...it will print out of my receipt on/after the 14th.

Then I got home and this was in the mail :o) I signed it, handed it to hubby, and said "Okay, there, I just paid for my shopping today, and I expect the change," hehehe.

May 6, 2009

Target:

3 Snak Saks @ .52/each using Target coupons

5 boxes of Quaker True Delights (LOVE the banana macadamia nut)... .59/box!! Used $1 mf coupons and $1 Target coupons on each.

5 (4 pictured, lol) Hershey's Bliss Bars - free... they were .99 and Target has $1 Bliss coupons that do NOT specify size restrictions!! :o) I will be getting more of those...they're yummmmmy.

Saw a pair of shorts for $1 (5T, will fit BOTH girls, lol) so I grabbed them..can't beat $1 shorts.

Walmart -

4 t-shirts for the girls (2 blue, 1 green, 1 white) they were $1 each.

2 Grill Mates maridades. They were .75 each, but I had a .50 coupon and a $1 coupon so they were both free :o) Walmart isn't supposed to adjust the value of coupons down so they give overage!

7 Evercare lint rollers - .97/each, used 7 $1 coupons. Freeeeeeeeeeee.

And on to the all important Walgreens:

Got the free 8x10 (but I didn't make sure it was high enough quality...I tried to make my own collage...I suck apparantly, lol)...so it didn't turn out.

a .14 cent highliter as a filler for my item/coupon ration (though in retrospect I didn't really need it because the picture counted as an item)

Colgate Sensitive enamel protect toothpaste - $4.49. Used a $1 coupon.

Used a $2 RR I had, and paid $1.64 to get back a $4.50 RR. I wasn't thrilled with paying $1.64 but that's not bad to get back that much in RR.

I had intented to do a second transaction and pay like 60 cents out of pocket and get back another $4, but they were out of the Pert Plus for Men. Boo! Totally screwed me up.

Here's my little "cheat sheet" I took in with me so I knew what to get...

I skipped going to CVS today because I didn't have a coupon I thought I had....for Adidas deodorant... SAD FACE... Mike picked up the paper for me on Sunday while he was working, but where he went only had the Carlisle paper and not the York...so it was missing a lot of coupons :o( Bigger cities get more coupons. So I will probably still go but I wasn't happy at the thought of paying $1.99 out of pocket for my scenario rather than just .99! I'm cheap, I know, lol.
I won this giveaway a few weeks ago. It came and the kids are loving the new outside toys. We also already got the free yogurt.

Then, I went back to Kmart for the doubles last week (and amazingly enough they are doubling AGAIN this week so I may have to go back if I can get over that way Friday or Saturday :o) )

I spent $1.94!! Total coupons used was $13, but that doubled to take an extra $10.25 off! (since they don't let you get overage, but will allow it to double up to the price of the product). Kmart is pricey but man those doubles are niiiiiiiiice and you can get so much cheap cheap cheap. The girls love those nail decals.

Clean and Clear cleansing pads - $3.50. $2 coupon doubled to make them free. x 2

Renuzit Air Neutralizer - $1.72 (??) $1 coupon doubled to make it free.

Kotex pads - $1.xx, $1 coupon doubled, all free

NYC roller lip gloss (perfect for Ava!!) - $1.99 - doubled $1 coupon - freeeee

Sally Hansen Nail Polish - $2.39 (?? it's been too long, I forget, lol), doubled $1 coupon - .39!

Kiss Nail Art - $2.29 - $1 coupon doubled to make them .29 each. (3)

Checked the mail and got the Fitness tote I "won" (was one of the 1st 1,000 or 10,000 or something to enter to get it). We were up at midnight and it was a text it thing so Mike texted it for me and we got it :o)

It had a full size CVS brand 70 spf sunscreen (and if you know me, I neeeeeed that 70spf! lol) It says it compares to Neutrogena...it's good stuff, I already used it.
Vaseline lotion in a gel form...also full size. I guess good for after sun, if you've got a sunburn? It reminded me of aloe gel.
Olay Body wash, full size.
Pantene Shampoo, full size
Sample of Playtex Sport tampons
$5 CVS gift card (what I actually wanted most, lmao!) and then of course it came in the tote bag, which is actually heavy duty and would make a great beach bag or even be strong enough to carry groceries if I use it for that.

It's always fun when I check the mail and get something I have no idea where it came from. Don't remember signing up for a sample, or winning anything... it was a nice surprise :o) It came directly from Dove and it's a full size deodorant with a LOT of $2 coupons!!! I should be able to snag a bunch of free or cheap Dove deodorant at the Kmart doubles...yeehaw! :o) I will absolutely share too, lol, even I don't need a stockpile of 50+ deodorants. I really like this stuff too, smells great.

Trip to Target...

6 Bags of Nabisco Snak Saks. All .52 each after using the Target coupons.

Dry Idea deodorant - free after a $2 coupon

Pull Ups, I was excited about because Ava wears them at night still...I had a $3 coupon and they were clearanced to $8.74...so I got them for $5.74!! I was there to buy pull ups mostly anyway, and we usually just get the Target brand b/c it's like $10. I forget the exact price...but that was an awesome find. I had more $2 coupons and I should have bought more but I was blinded by the $3 coupon, lol. Of course they don't have any more now :o(

Also got Jack some Party Mix because I had a b1g1 Target coupon and a $1/2 manufacturs coupon so it was .42 total for both of them.

MY NEW LAUNDRY SORTER
!!! It was 67.xx from Amazon and I didn't actually pay a cent because I used my survey gift certificates...woohoo! I would never spend that much on a laundry sorter but I wanted something decorative since it's in a commonly seen area.

Last weeks Walgreens trip:

It kind of sucked because I couldn't print out the $2.25 coupon that was available for the Ecotrin. I grimaced when I paid, lol, but I wanted to get the $2 reward for buying it so I did.

Ecotrin - $2
2 Rimmel Eyeshadows. B1G1, made them 2.50 each. Had $1 coupons so I paid $1.50 each. That was stupid of me, lol...I really didn't need them and I'm sure if I waited I could have gotten a better deal than that.

I used a $2 RR I had and paid $3.xx and got a $2 RR back. That sucked. I am spoiled and don't like paying out of pocket more than I get back to use again, LOL.

CVS was better... I guess :o)

2 Zooth toothbrushes. They only had Hotwheels left but I know the girls will love them anyway, lol. They were $1.99 each, and I had a B1G1 coupon. You also got a $2 ECB for buying two.

Rimmel mascara was B1G1 so I used a coupon for a Free Sexy Curves mascara and that took off $6.xx (the mascara was $7.xx, so I really paid $1 for it...) and got the Glam Eyes mascara free... 2 for a $1 isn't bad, lol...and it looked through them all and found ones that had bonus eye liner pencils!

Used the $5 gift card I got, shown above somewhere...and didn't spend a cent out of myyy pocket ($1.01 on the gift card)... and got back a $2 ECB. Now that's what I like "spending" $1 to get $2, lol.
