Ran in to the grocery store to get milk today and saw a few items I had rainchecks for in stock.

I picked up these Perdue Flavor Bites for $2.99, and used a $2 coupon...so I paid .99 for them, and I will get back $2.99 in a rebate! Free plus a profit :o)

Also got 6 bottles of Glass Plus, for .57 TOTAL!! They were $2.19..I used a raincheck to make them buy 1 get 1 free. Used a $1 coupon on each bottle. Great deal!

Used $6.79 in ECB, paid .69 out of pocket. Got back $10.99 in ECB... made a profit of $3.51 (counting the out of pocket).

A friend/co-worker of my grandmother sells this jewelry. She decided to get out of the business and sell what she had left at a great discount. $5 each, or 5/$20! My grandmother brought a ton of it up for me to look through this weekend and I selected 5 (6, actually, but 2 were together as a set).

So I paid $20 for all of that, and the actual listed prices on their tags valued them all at $116!! I definitely would NOT have paid their listed prices, but $20 for 5-6 items? SURE.

Target.

Total spent: 18.64

  • 4 General Mills cereal cups - $1, used $1 Target coupon, all free.
  • 5 Combos - $1.79/each. Used $1 Target coupons on each, made them just .79 each.
  • 5 True Delights granola bars - $2.74 each. Used 4 $1 coupons, so paid $9.70 for 5 boxes, and got back a $5 Target gift card for buying 5! I still consider myself having spent $1.94/box, but the gift card is a nice perk! :o)

  • 2 Aveeno baby (1 wash and 1 shampoo) - $3.50 each. Used a $2 coupon on each, and a $1 Target coupon on each, making them .50 each!
  • 6 Gerber bottles - .99 each, used $1 Target coupons on each... all free. Will use for baby shower gifts for people who are 100% certain they'll use them.
  • 3 J&J Head to Toe baby wash - $2.19 each. Used a $3 off 3 coupon and 3 $1 Target coupons, to get them for just .19 each!
  • 4 Johnson's buddies bars - .97 each. Used $1 Target coupon on each, that was adjusted by the register to .97, so all free with no overage.

  • 1 pack hangers - $1.17 I think, going by memory here
  • 2 Hello Kitty t-shirts for the girls... I'd told them they could have a treat and as we were going to go look at the Dollar Spot they saw these. They were in the clearance section for just $2.98 each... of course I said they could have them instead, haha. Not a big fan of characters, but they just adore Hello Kitty.
  • 2 Arm & Hammer travel size toothpastes - .97 each. Used a $3/2 coupon, got overage.
  • 5 Colgate kids Spongebob toothpastes - .52 each. Used $1 Target coupons on each, got overage.
  • 1 Vaseline Aloe Fresh travel size lotion - .97, used a $1 coupon, got overage.

I was quite happy with CVS today.

  • 1 Carefree liners - Free after ECB ($3.79)

  • 2 Kotex Liners (one was a double pack for the same price) - B1G1, $1.29 for both, used two $1 coupons, got some overage! :o)

  • 1 Glade Lasting Impressions - Used FREE item coupon.

  • 3 Glade Sense & Sprays - $5 each. Used three $4 coupons.

  • 2 Glade candle holders - $2.50 each, used $1.50 coupons on each.

  • 2 Glade candle refills - $2.50 each. Used free item coupons (free when you buy 1 candle holder).

Used a $4/20 CVS coupon (handed that over first...my original total was $38.xx).

My total was $4.xx after coupons, used a $4 ECB, and it brought my total down to .14!! For all that.

So, I saved $62.71 according to my reciept (must include sale prices)... I spent .14 out of pocket, used $4 in ECB...and earned $12.79 in ECB ($9 for buying $30 in Glade, and $3.79 for the Carefree). Made a profit of $8.65, counting the .14 I spent in cash!! Would have been better if I had the Carefree coupon, but my printer is out of ink... still, I'm not complain'! :o)

The Glade prices are so good right now with a few of the coupons I have, I might pick a few more things up even though I hit my limit with the ECB deal. There were $2 coupons in the refill packs, that I can use with the Buy 1 Holder, Get 1 Refill free, to get the holder and the refill pack for just .50! That's not a bad deal at all.

Just a few of the better coupon deals I managed while grocery shopping today... this isn't all I bought, just the coupon deals.

  • Chef Michael dog food - $3.50, used a $3 coupon. $.50!

  • 2 Arm & Hammer 100ct Dryer Sheets - $2.85, buy 1 get 1 free. Used two $1 coupons, .85 total for both!

  • 2 Angel Soft toilet paper - $1.99. B1G1. Used a $1/2 coupon, .99 for both!

  • 4 Blast O Butter popcorn - $2.39, B1G1. Used a $1 coupon on each box. Just .39 for TWO boxes (so .78 for all four).

  • Beech Nut banana baby food - Used free item coupon. Will mix it into oatmeal for the girls.

  • Quaker Rice snacks - .75 after a $1 coupon

  • 4 Snapple drinks - .09 each after a .75 coupon doubled for each.

  • 2 Cinnamon Toast Crunch - .90 each (on sale for $2, used .55 coupons that doubled).

  • 6 Breyers YoCrunch Yogurts - .60 each, used $1/2 coupons, so paid .10 each!

  • 2 Fruit Cups - $1 each, used $1/2 coupon, .50 each.

  • El Monterey Tornados - .99 after a $1 coupon (and there was a .50 coupon in the box, which will double so I can keep rolling that to get them for .99... sweet! Hubby likes these).

As a member of BzzAgent every once in awhile I get to try out new products, and of course, Bzz the word.

Just yesterday, these came in the mail for me to try out. I've used a few Burt's Bees products before and most, I do like. The only thing I've tried so far that I don't, is the beeswax chapstick...but it may have just been that I was pregnant when I tried it because it was the smell that bothered me.

I wasn't sure about the cleanser as I was looking at the bottle because it seems so...watery. I thought the same thing as I went to try it out on my face in the shower today, it feels really thin. It worked up into a nice lather though and it felt nice on my face. I've suffered from problem skin for years...and along with the acne, I have dry skin. Lots of facial cleansers burn as I'm using them. For a long time now I've used a Dove cucumber fresh (?) bar on my face because it doesn't sting. Even as gentle as Dove is, even the plain white bars sting. Anyway, I digress... the Burt's Bees didn't even tingle, and my skin felt so smooth after. I haven't tried the Spot Treatment yet, but I'm sure I will soon.

Have you used these products before? What do you think of them?

If you know me, you know I don't pay full price for much...but if this cleanser works as well as it's supposed to I just might buy a bottle after this runs out because it did leave my skin soothed and smooth. At $9.99, I'd consider this a splurge for sure, but if it works, it'll be worth it. Hey Burt's Bees, how about releasing some coupons?? ;o)

Mmmm, corn on the cob. Picked fresh by the husband!

August 22, 2009

The third trip to The Doubles... not my least expensive by far, but, considering what I bought, not bad.

  • 1 Milk Bone treats - FREE (used the coupon I got last trip)
  • 1 Cocoa Krispies - .25 after a $1 coupon
  • 1 Venom energy drink - used free item coupon
  • 3 Duracell batteries - $3 each after $1.50 coupons
  • 1 Clean & Clear face wash - .49 after $2 coupon
  • 2 Glade candle tins - FREE after $2 coupons
  • 1 glass Glade scented oil candle holder - FREE after $2 coupon
  • 1 Axe Shampoo - used free item coupon
  • 1 Axe Shampoo - .99 after $2 coupon
  • 1 Axe Body Wash - $1.29 after $1.50 coupon

I would NOT have normally paid that much for the Axe, but because I spent $2.28 on 3 Axe products, I got a free movie ticket! That made it worth it...and I guesssss when you figure it's only .76 each it's not a bad deal on the Axe either.

I honestly have NO idea what a good price on batteries is... but my mom said $3 a pack was good and we needed some, so... buy I did. I ended up spending $12.xx... not happy with that, but hey, we needed the batteries and the movie ticket was a good deal. I also used a $3 off Kmart coupon...it beeped (which is odd, but maybe not enough cleaning products, maybe that's what they're considering consumable??), but the cashier pushed it through, so that is nice or my total would have been $15.xx and I probably would have died. LOL. No, not really but that's unheard of for me and The Doubles since I learned how to coupon. :o)

Husband to the 10-coupon-limit rescue again!

  • 4 Nature's Source cleaners - FREE after $1 coupons
  • 1 Cocoa Krispies - .25 after $1 coupon
  • 4 Dove deos - FREE after $2 coupons
  • 1 Revlon nail clippers - .79 after $1 coupon (thought I got the ones that would be free...but oh well)
  • 1 Duracell batteries - $3

Not pictured, M&M minis for the kids (.89/each). Daddy thought they needed a treat :o)

Tried the $3 coupon again, and it beeped, and he had used a different cashier than I did, and she did not push it through (she did let him use 11 coupons though). Oh well, you win some you lose some...no big deal. Paid $6.xx... could have been worse... we could have not used coupons. Ohhhh, the horror that would be. ;o)

Hubby had to run in to Kohl's to return something today, and it's right next to Target, so I ran in to see if they had any of the Hungry Hippo games...and of course I can't stop there ;P
  • 2 Hungry Hungry Hippo travel games - $4.99 each. Used a $4 coupon on both...just .99 each!
  • 3 Combos - .79/each after $1 Target coupon
  • 1 Pop Tarts - .62 after a .55 coupon and a .75 Target coupon.

August 21, 2009

Ran in to CVS, they were out of stock on what I went for...but they had a few things that I had rainchecks for so I snapped them up.

  • 2 mini staplers - .99 each (with a .99 ECB for each)
  • 4 Sharpie highlighter 4 packs - .99 each, used a $1 coupon on each (1 was adjusted down to .96, so no overage)
  • 2 folders - I couldn't find the folders in my raincheck, but the manager came over and offered to let me choose from a different set (of more expensive) folders...they were originally $1.99 each, got them for .49 each (and they both gave me a .49 ECB)

So...my total was just over $3 after tax. I used $3 in ECB...which took care of everything before tax so I paid nothing, and got back $3 in ECB (raincheck ECBs seem to round up to the nearest $1 or .50 for me?)

The folders are really pretty. The girls are going to have a ton of stuff to choose from once they start school... I like that, we can just do most of our Back to School Shopping at home when the time comes if I just keep up with the free stuff :o)

Also, 45 pictures from Walgreens, .25!! (.27 after tax)
The Second Trip... to Kmart Doubles!

  • 4 Glade sprays - $1.29 each, used two Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupons, made all four FREE.
  • 3 Glade Scented Oil refill packs - .33 each (used two $1.50 coupons, and one Buy2Get1)
  • 1 Listerine Pocket pack - free after $1 coupon doubled.
  • 2 Clean & Clear face wash - .49 each after $2 coupons.
  • 3 Scrubbing Bubbles - .50 each
  • 2 Glade Scented Oil Tins - Free after $2 coupons doubled (cashier actually put these in manually and just doubled to $4 so I got a little overage..they didn't want to scan)

The Glade refill packs and the Tins were an awesome deal... if you had coupons to start with, there are $1.50 coupons on any refill or candle in the Tins, use those to get the refill pack for .49, and in the refill packs (the 3 packs...most anyway) are $2 coupons and the Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupons for the refill packs. Just keep on rolling them to get the tins free and the refill packs for .33 each!

The $3 off $20 of Edible or Consumable coupon scanned just fine, and I ended up spending $1.03 on the above, the Kmart coupon even ate up some of the tax!!

Then of course I forced my super sweet husband to use some coupons too... :o)
  • 1 Lysol Neutra Air double pack - FREE after using a $1.50 coupon
  • 1 Crunch 'n Clean dog biscuits - FREE after $2 coupon
  • 1 Nature's Source cleaner - FREE after $1 coupon
  • 2 Glade sprays - FREE after a Buy 1 Get 1 coupon doubled.
  • 4 Glade candle tins - FREE after $2 coupons doubled.
  • 2 Party Mix cat treats - FREE after $1 coupons doubled.

Used the $3 off Edible or Consumable coupon first, and it scanned just fine...

I swiped my card to pay, and then when I got outside wondered how on earth I ended up having to pay anything but tax... and then we noticed the negative behind the total!! They ended up crediting us $2.23!! Cashier must not have noticed either. So everything was free, tax was paid for by the $3 Kmart coupon, and they PAID ME TO SHOP. Even if you figure I spent $1.03 on the first set of items, I still came out ahead.
Love that! :o)
I also got a coupon for Free Milkbone dog treats for buying the Crunch 'n Clean, so there's even more profit. Not a bad haul at all.
Target.

'Nuff said.

August 19, 2009

Ran in to Weis quickly for a few things picked these up. They were on sale 4 for $4. I had four coupons, for .40 each, so they doubled to .80, so I ended up paying .20 a box! Not only that, but a $2.50 coupon printed out for buying 4 boxes!! Kind of like getting a profit of $1.70. Can't beat that :o)
First trip of the week to Kmart Doubles!

1st Transaction:
  • 4 Rice Krispies -used 3 $1 coupons, and 1 Free Item coupon. Made 3 boxes, .25/each and one, obviously, free, haha :o)
  • 6 Glade scented oil candle refill packs - Used 4 $1.50 coupons, and two Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupons (they beeped, cashier pushed them through). Worked out to paying $1.96 for 6 packs, or just .33 each! (they were $3.49 originally)
  • 4 double packs of Fancy Feast wet cat food - Used two Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupons... made all four *8 since they were double packs* FREE!
  • 2 Party Mix cat treats - Used a Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon, that doubled to make both free!!

I can't find my reciept so I'm not sure what I spent exactly with tax (I'm back-dating here, it's been a few days), but it was around $3. I will also get back a $5 gift card for buying the Rice Krispies!!!

(THAT was fun, it didn't print out for me when I bought them like it was supposed to, but after some calling around, Kmart came through and next time I went in, I was able to pick up a rebate form at the Customer Service Desk).

My husband is SO sweet to help me out when I need him to with my coupons. He very graciously handled this 2nd transaction so I could use more than 10 coupons... I'm not going all the way to Kmart for just 10 coupons, oh no! Haha :o)
  • 1 Satin Care shave gel -.69 after using a $1 coupon. (not free...boo..but, I needed it, haha)
  • 3 Glade scented oil refill packs - .33 each after coupons (same as mentioned above)
  • 2 Renu travel packs - FREE after using a $2 coupon on each
  • 1 Visine -FREE after a $2 coupon.
  • 1 Clean & Clear Advantage treatment - $2.49 after a $2 coupon...not bad for something that was $6.49 and I usually end up paying around $5 for.
  • 2 Ajax dish detergents - FREE after $1 coupons
  • 1 Glade carpet powder - .19 after $1 coupon.

Spent around $5 after tax for that one.

  • 1 travel size Clean & Clear - .97

  • 3 Glade Sense & Spray kits - $5/each

Used a $1 coupon on the Clean & Clear, and a $4 coupon on each of the Sense & Spray kits. Right around $3 paid for all :o)

August 16, 2009

CVS:
4 Sobe LifeWaters, free (b1g1, used a b1g1 coupon on each)
2 pencil cases, 2 packs of paper, 2 memo books, 5 packs of pens, all free after ECBs (used ECBs to pay, so totally free)
Revlon makeup, b1g1...needed powder and foundation, so paid for the foundation (13.99) and got powder free (9.99)...used two $1 coupons.
Also used a $5/$25 CVS coupon.
My total after I used the ECBs that wouldn't take me into the negative, was a whopping .73! And I re-couped all but $4-5 in ECBs that I used. Not bad since I needed the Revlon stuff anyway...lucked out with the $5/$25 or it would have been "worse." lol :o)

Floss picks were free at Walmart... $1, used a $1 coupon from Smartsource. I actually really like these.

Walgreens:
7 Huggies wipes boxes... $1.18 (total, for all 7 boxes). Niiiiiice. There is a $2 store coupon in their Back to School booklet (you can find it by the weekly ad in the store), making them an already great deal (they were $2.99 at my Walgreens, but I've heard them to be $2.49 at others...either way, .99 isn't a bad deal for a box really...but still more than I'd pay, LOL), so you combine the store coupon with manufacturers coupons, and I happened to have two $1.50 coupons, a .75, and two $1/2 coupons...for a total savings of $19.75. I like to use the boxes to sort the girls smaller toys... also good for craft stuff, so that made me happy, haha.

August 13, 2009

A calender full of Nestle coupons, awesome! :o)

August 10, 2009

  • Revlon foundation - 9.99, got back 9.99 in ECB

  • Notebook - .99, got back $1 ECB

  • Glue (all 4)- .99 each, got back $1 ECB for each.

I ended up spending $1.03, but got back $14.99 ECB...not my best, but not my worst either :o)

Ran in to Food Lion today...also went to Weis to do a bigger trip...where I spent entirely too much on impulse buys and I will NOT share a picture, haha...but really I didn't have time to take one, with it being sooooo hot today, we had to run home and put everything away really quick before heading out again...the girls spent the day with my mom and we needed to go pick them up. I will share the Food Lion deals though :o)

My total came to $8.96! Not bad considering I got the parmasean cheese. Yay for alfredo sauce ;o)

  • Success Rice, $1.46 - Used a $1 coupon, .46

  • Betty Crocker potato mix - $1.62, used a free item coupon. Free.

The other 4 boxes, I used $1 off 2 coupons, making them .27 a box. So if you total it up, $1.30 for 5 boxes, or just .26 a box. ...and I happen to reallyyyy like the Smores, haha...
  • 4 travel size Degree deodorants, .97 each. Used a $1 coupon on each. Free.
  • 1 Renu travel size... $1.52. Used a $2 coupon. Free plus overage.

August 7, 2009

I haven't been doing so well at Walgreens lately... just haven't been feeling the Out of Pocket, haha.

Anyway... I had a $1 register reward that was expiring so I ran in to use it rather than let it go to waste. I found plates on clearance for .50 each and was just going to get two of those for the girls and only pay tax... but then I saw two lonely bamboo pots marked down to .75 each. They looked like they needed a home...and they got it :o) I just need to go get some more potting soil and figure out what to put in them.

Pardon dinner... Ava insisted on using them that evening so I washed 'em up and didn't take a pic before dinner was served (and mostly eaten), lol.

August 4, 2009

Total for all the above? $8.27.

  • Glade fabric & air spray, was $3.49. I had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon, so that made them $1.75 each...buuuut, I also had two $2 Target coupons, which can be combined with a manufacturers coupon, so they actually PAID me .50 to buy two!! Freeeee :o)
  • That black blob there is a tank top... I paid $2.50 for it. No coupon. Wooooo, big spender, lol.
  • Pop Tarts were $1.52, used a .75 Target coupon, took them down to .77, used a .55 manufacturers coupon, made them a whopping 22 cents...
  • 6 cups of Kashi cereal, they were $1 each, and I used $1 Target coupons on each of them. All free.
  • Bush's baked beans... $1.67... no coupon...but they were cheaper than at the grocery store, haha... see, I pay full price for things sometimes!
  • 2 Softsoap refills, $2.50, used $2 Target coupons on each, making them .50, then I also had $1 manufacturers coupons for each, so, got "paid" $1 to buy them!
  • Johnson's Travel First Aid Kit, .99, used a $1 coupon.. free.
  • 4 packs of Nexcare bandages, .99 each, used $1 coupons on each. All free.
  • 2 packs of Leap Frog puzzles. Intended to put them away...but Ava saw them in the bag...had to open a pack (as shown in the picture) and the girls each got a puzzle, lol. They were on clearance for $1.24 (for 3 puzzles in a pack, not bad!)
  • 2 "Potty Putty" things... .48 each, clearance... figured stocking stuffer kinda deal... they'll have fun with the noise, lol.
  • Also not pictured, two Disney books from the Dollar Spot...so... $1 each, of course, lol.

Not a bad haul for $8 and some change.

I used to shop at Food Lion quite a bit when we lived in VA...they used to send me coupons for free items all the time (especially loved the free produce coupons). We have one here but it's a little far to go for my regular shopping...but I planned to go since I was going to be in the area...it's not too far from my parent's house.

  • 2 pounds of turkey lunchmeat, b1g1 (a little over 2lbs, actually)
  • 1 pound of roast beef
  • 1 pack of kaiser rolls, free with purchase of roast beef. used a $3 off $10 deli purchase coupon, roughly $10 for all that...not too bad for 3lbs of lunchmeat and a pack of rolls.
  • 2 jars of Ragu, used a $1 off 2 coupon, and a $1 store coupon on each. They were $2 each, so that took off $3, and made them .50 each!
  • 25ft of aluminum foil, free after store coupon!
  • Healthy Choice frozen entree, free after a $2 coupon!
  • Baby wipes, .12 after a $1.50 store coupon.

  • Green Giant canned corn, free after $1 store coupon

Total spent, $12.88!

You can only use one like store coupon per transaction there, so since the husband was with me, he also purchased a few items. Got to love a man who isn't afraid to use a coupon ;o)

He got everything I got, minus the lunchmeat (no way we could have used 6lbs of lunchmeat before it would spoil, haha). His total, came to $2.22!!

For aluminum foil, rubbing alcohol, baby wipes, Hi-C juice boxes, 2 (big!) jars of Ragu, and a can of Green Giant corn...not bad when the Hi-C juice boxes were on sale for $2 themselves!! Or one jar of Ragu was on sale for $2.
