Straight Talk Savings

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I *still* don't have a cell phone.  Yes, I know it's 2011.  Laugh it up!  It's mostly because I don't like to talk on the phone, but to be honest it's also because, well, it's expensive! I've been thinking that it might be a good idea to have one lately though.  Especially with all the crazy weather we've had lately.  I'm glad I just heard about Straight Talk, because this cell phone service provider can save you money.

I love that there are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks to worry about. You get great nationwide coverage and excellent reception/connectivity.  For half of what other cell phone companies charge?  I'm sold!  Hook, line and sinker!  Plus, you can get a reconditioned phone for only $10.  There are lots of options, that may include a camera, an mp3 player, mobile web access, and blue-tooth.  There are also smart phones available (Android on Straight Talk), with touch screens and all that fancy phone technology that I have no idea how to use, haha.  Seriously, so sad, I know, haha.  Oh!  And they only use trusted phone manufacturers like LC, Motorola, Nokia...the good phones!  :)

The “All You Need Plan” has Everything you need with 1,000 minutes,1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data. I don’t think I could ever use that many minutes – but it would be nice to use  for emergencies and to Call a friend every now and then.

Unlimited Monthly service is only $45, and includes calls, texts, picture messaging, and web.

Imagine getting unlimited calls, texts, picture messaging and web for a whole year, for only $499.00! Plus, 411 calls are included at no extra charge...and the service is free from activation, reactivation, or termination fees.

MyReviewsNow.net

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of MyReviewsNow.net for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever wanted to buy something, but weren't sure of the quality?  Are you just not sure it's worth forking over your hard earned money yet?  Will it work the way it's supposed to?  Is the sizing correct?  There can be so many things to consider before making a purchase.  My first thought is to browse around online looking for reviews of the item.  Real reviews, from real people...not just the product descriptions that sometimes lack information.

I just heard of myreviewsnow.net today, and so far, I'm impressed!   It has a clean layout, and it's easy to get around and find just what you're looking for.  They offer online shoppers a wide variety of online shopping choices AND real product reviews all in one location.  It's like an online shopping mall, with featured products based on current popular online shopping trends.  They are hoping to help you save time when you're shopping.       cuc

Right now, you can enter to win a $350 Kohl's giftcard when you try myreviewsnow.net (official rules).  Simply  “Like” myreviewsnow.net on Facebook and tweet the message “I love to #shopathome online!”   (

You all know I love Kohl's, so I'll be entering, for sure!  How about you?

No pictures!

I actually used my coupons the other day!  I sat and organized a small pile of them and even printed some before I went on a big grocery shopping trip.

I didn't save as much as I would have liked to, but it felt good to hand over a big stack of coupons to the cashier.  :o)

I didn't take any pictures, but I did get lots of free Chey Boyardee.

Christmas is already sneaking up on me...

So, who has started their Christmas shopping yet?

I am SO far behind this year!  Not only have I not been using my coupons to their full extent, I've totally been slacking off on tucking things away for Christmas.  I have put a few things in my closet for the husband and the girls, and I just ordered a couple of things the other day when the Disney Store was having a sale (free shipping too, yeah!), but usually my closet is overflowing by now with Christmas gifts, and this year it's sooooo not.

I haven't really been out much to find and scoop up clearance deals, and on top of that, I just don't know what to get everyone this year.  The girls have a super long list (and they want everything they see in commercials, of course), but our house is already overflowing with toys.  I just don't know where I could put much more of them.  I need to do a major toybox and playroom clean out and declutter before the holiday season, for sure.  The husband only wants super expensive things (I bet he'd be thrilled with a PS3).  Then of course there are our parents, and I never know what to get them...I usually end up baking for them and putting together a gift basket.  Any ideas?

Online Shopping

Have you ever heard of Become.com?  I just found this website today and it looks promising.  Anyone have any thoughts?  It's like a search engine, just for shopping.

Become was founded in 2004, to help individuals make better buying decisions.  They knew it could be difficult to research and compare new products and services, and wanted to provide a website that could streamline shopping searches to give users the information they needed.  Plus, they want to help you find the best deal too.  They hope to help users save both time and money.

They have Editors Picks, a Tip Center, Top 10 Lists, a feature highlighting top products, a shopping blog packed with helpful information, and more.  There is even a Local Shopping feature that lets you find the products you're looking for, and great deals on them locally.

So no matter if you're looking for a great deal on golf furniture, country counter stools, or a beach cabana tent, Become.com wants to help you find the best item at the best price for you.

This post is brought to you thanks to your friends at Become.com

Shopping? What's That?

I haven't really been shopping or used coupons in awhile.  So sad!  I mean, I obviously go to the grocery store...but I've been a bad coupon lady the past couple of months and just gone in for a few things here and there as we need them, and I scored some awesome deals at Kohl's shopping for school clothes for my Kindergartner.  I haven't done any drugstore deals or any big stock up on sale/coupon item trips though.

Thanks to my couponing though I haven't needed to buy dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent or dryer sheets for the entire time I've been slacking on my coupons.  :o)

It's about time to start back up again though...  my poor coupon binder has sat in my closet neglected for months and my stockpile is looking a bit sad.

I need to clean out my binder, reorganize my stockpile shelves, and start fresh.

10th Anniversary of Upromise!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPromise for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been using Upromise for years.  I signed up not even two full days after the birth of our oldest daughter (who just started Kindergarten!!  Where *do* the years go?!).  It's great to know that when I purchase something we need, by clipping eCoupons, a little bit of what was spent can be set aside for my daughters and their education.  If you're not signed up, I highly recommend that you do so!  Upromise members have received more than $600 million in college savings through their rewards program.

Right now, Upromise is celebrating their 10th Anniversary!  ::throws confetti::  Woohoo!  That is so exciting!  To celebrate, Upromise is giving away $20,000 to participants who share a story telling how a parent has supported a child's dream.  If you'd like a chance to win, you can submit a story at www.upromisetodream.com, and you can also vote on your favorite stories by "liking" them.  Upromise plans to give away $1,000 to ten winners, as well as a grand prize of $10,00 for one lucky participant!  (dream wall official rules)

So, go, join the movement!  Spread the word!  Share your experiences and give a little spark to help fuel the flame of future dreams.  I shared mine!  My dream for my daughters is that they never give up on what makes them shine.  I want them to be happy, no matter if that means they find love and stay at home to raise children, following in the footsteps of their mother and grandmother, or have a lifelong career.  No matter what, I want them to be happy and to know that I support them in their choices.  I want them to know that they can learn from everything.

Feel free to leave a comment and share your dream here, I'd love to hear it!
