CVS - I didn't pay anything out of pocket for this stuff... :o)  I didn't make money with my ECB's, but I did well enough.  Not getting in to prices because this is back dated, but the Dove was free, the toothpaste was free, and the Glade should have been free but the cashier didn't know what she was doing, lol.  I "lost" $3 in ECBs on that, but oh well.

Walgreens...  I don't know exactly what I paid, but I had to run back for more candy to get my total up enough for it to accept all my coupons/RRs, lol.  I think I paid about $1, and got back a RR for the razor and the Vitamin Water chapstick.

January 24, 2010

I paid right around $9 for this at Walgreens and got $5 back in RR to use on the next shopping trip.  I used coupons on the diapers and a RR to lower my out of pocket.  The floss was free and I got overage after using the coupon ;o)

CVS...the bars were around .40 each, which is good, I think.  The makeup was .99-$1.99, no I can't remember :P  The soup was I think about .25/can.  I paid with coupons and ECBs so it was all free to me! :o)
I didn't use any coupons on these, but they were on clearance for cheap!!  Except for the popcorn, that was a splurge, lol.

The Keebler cookie bites were $1, the Quaker Mini Delights were .75/box!!  The popcorn was $2.  I don't know what I was thinking buying popcorn for $2...  mini bags at that, lol.  ;o)

My Glade candle insanity.... I did 8 transactions for those, LOL.  I used a $3/2 mfr coupon on the first two as well as a $1/2 Kmart coupon, and used a $5 gift card I had, so they were "free,"  and then they kept spitting out a $3 coupon every time you bought two, so I kept rolling it, and using the Kmart coupon, to get two candles for right about $1.  Why yes, I am backdating again, how could you tell? ;o)  Finally I got bored doing so many transactions and rolled the last $3 into 3 of the scented oil refill packs, used 3 $1.50 coupons and 1 $1/2 Kmart coupon on those and they were free.

That wrapping paper was marked down to .39/single roll and .79/4-pack!  The bows were .49, and the reed diffuser was $1.xx, it was all 70-90% off.

January 23, 2010

I got the Nivea, the Bonne Bell, and the Glade candles at Walgreens.  I am backdating this and as a result I do not remember the prices.  I need someone to remind me every Monday to UPDATE this thing!! LOL

I know the Glade and the Nivea had RR's, and the Bonne Bell I think was on clearance for $1.59, and I used $1 coupons to get those for .59, they will go in the girls' Easter baskets.

The Aveeno was from Target, $2.99 each and I had $2 coupons, so .99 for oatmeal bath and .99 for anti-itch cream, which I am sure I will need once warmer weather hits.

The ELF kits were marked down to .75!

The shirt was on clearance for $3, I always try to pick up the kids clothes like that.  Just here and there, cute pieces inexpensively.

Electrasol was on "clearance" for $3.64 at Target.  I used a $2.50 coupon on each box, making them $1.14 each.  They were on sale for $3.50 or something like that a few weeks ago so I wasn't impressed, but my coupons were about to expire and at the time that was the lowest price I could find.  How sad I was bummed about paying more than $1 for dishwasher detergent, haha.  Twelve boxes of dish detergent for $13.68 as opposed to $43.68, and I was bummed?  I'm crazy ;o)

Just passing this along for anyone who shops at CVS and might have purchased one of these lamps.

Walmart:

These 3 items were just .78 total. Used $1 coupons on the Buddy Bar and the Let's Grow Chicken & Stars soup, so they were both free, and the chocolates were on clearance for .80!

I actually just ordered 20 of the Let's Grow coupons on eBay today, since they were $1 at Walmart, and free after coupons.  I paid $2.28 for 20 $1 coupons, so that will make each meal about .11!  Not bad for a quick little lunch item for the kids, add a sandwich and some veggies...good to go.

I also ordered 30 of the $2.50 Electrasol coupons, I'm down to 3 boxes from last time I got it free so I need to stock up.  Now, I really don't like paying for coupons, but I paid $6.45, to save $75...so I figure that's pretty worth it considering it's something I use every day.  I should be able to pick it up for about $1 a box unless it goes on a better sale somewhere before the coupons expire, and I'd rather do that than pay full price for each box as I need it.   (And no I don't think I will use all 30 of those coupons, I tend to order extra for my mom, haha).

CVS, this was several transactions to make it the least out of my own pocket and to avoid large ECBs printing since if you buy several like items that produce ECBs it puts them all together (ie, four $3 ECBs would print out as a $12 ECB, etc...and with 6 boxes of those bars, that would have been a $36 ECB, haha).

Anyway, my total spending out of my own pocket was  $3.04.  For 21 items...not bad ;o)
  • 3 rolls of wrapping paper that were .39 each!  (Not pictured above, but will be pictured below)
  • 6 boxes of Soy Joy bars
  • 1 J&J first aid kit
  • 1 Puffs tissues
  • 2 Pantene shampoo
  • 4 Oust
  • 1 Pringles
  • 1 Coke (single serve bottle...not pictured)
  • 1 spool of ribbons
  • 1 gift tags
  • 1 two-pk razors
  • 2 Visine

Three of these (the Charlie Brown) wrapping papers are from CVS, marked down to .39 each, and the Yo Gabba Gabba paper was marked down to .75 at Walmart.  So 190 feet of wrapping paper for $1.92!

Walgreens... this was several transactions and I am NO GOOD at working Walgreens...  I wasn't impressed with my totals.

T 1 -
  • 2 Neosporin Lip Health - 2/$8, used two $3 coupons.  Got back $3 RR.
  • 2 Planters Trail Mix - $2/2 after Walgreens coupon ($1/2)
  • 2 Tinkerbell candy - .25/each (thinking Easter!)

Used a $1 RR, and paid $3.50 (uuuugh, I know, lol).

T 2 -
  • 1 Thermacare - $2.49.  Used a $1 coupon.  Got a $2.50 RR.
  • 1 Nivea shower gel - $4.99.  Used a $1 coupon.  Got $2 RR.
  • 1 Tinkerbell candy - .25

Used a $3 RR, paid $3.03 (yeah, see why I said I'm no good at Walgreens, sheesh!)

T 3 -
  • 3 Kotex - $3 each.  Used a $1 coupon on each.  Got a $4 RR.
  • 2 Tinkerbell candy .25 each.
Used a $2.50 RR and a $2 RR.  Now, I paid $4.75, thought that seemed off but as I said, no good at Walgreens...so I was looking at my reciept later, and I was rung up for 4 Kotex and 1 Tinkerbell candy.  So it's off by $2.75...and I'm going to get that back, I already called the store, lol...they said come in whenever I can and just bring my reciept.

T 4 -
  • 2 Taper Candles - $1/2... they were totally sneaky and stuck in with the 75% off!  I was getting them as fillers...but they rang up full price.
  • 1 Nivea shower gel - $4.99.  Used a $1 coupon.

Used a $4 RR, and paid $1.35.

So my TOTAL at Walgreens was a whopping $12.63, and then the $2.75 I'll get back brings it down to $9.88.  Totally unacceptable!  LOL.  Must plan better next time I go in.  For now I'll pacify myself in that I did save a bit off the retail...  which would have been (even counting sale prices) $34.72...  :o/

January 3, 2010

  • 4 General Mills cereals - FREE!  I used the coupons that General Mills/My Blog Spark so generously sent me.  :o)  Ava was so excited to have Lucky Charms!  My husband noticed no difference in the Reese's Puffs, none of us noticed a difference in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the girls gobbled up the Lucky Charms as usual.  I did think that they actually taste sweeter than the used to, which is odd to me, but they're still good!  :o)
  • 1 Breyers Yogurt 4-pack - Free!  Used a free item catalina that printed at Weis on a previous trip.
  • Bear Essentials training pants - on sale for $6.99, used a $2 coupon, $4.99, not too bad.
  • 4 loaves of bread, two were b1g1 and I used .55 coupons (doubled) on each, so they were .80/loaf, and the other two were 2/$3, so just .40/loaf!
  • 1 Marcal TP - Free
  • 8-Pack of Marcal Paper Towels - used a rain check to get them for $5, and used a $4 coupon.  Just $1 for eight rolls, sweet! :o)  I hardly ever buy paper towels unless I can get them that cheap.  My mom (who has yet to post, MOM) loves them so I keep them on hand for when she comes over or she might wither away from not enough paper towel exposure or something. ;o)  I do use them every once in awhile but I normally just use a real dish towel.

These were also FREE, thanks to the Facebook coupon! :o)

And I just thought this was funny, while I was taking my deal pictures hubby was sitting on the floor organizing the cereal stash by expiration date so we'd be sure to use it up before it expired.  I asked him to, but I didn't expect him to do it!  I definitely got a good one there...even if he did hide behind a box of cereal rather than be in the picture (can't say that I blame him though, lol).. ;o)

Walgreens,

Electrasol $3.49.  Used a $2.50 coupon, .99!  Got back a $1 RR.
2 J&J baby products - $2.99, used $2 coupons on each.  Just .99, not bad for full/large size products and one was even a bonus pack.

Not pictured are two Snoopy cookies for .38 each (kid bribery at it's finest!!)

  • 2 Reeses - .87/each
  • 1 GE Energy Smart bulb - $2.99, used a $1 coupon.  Got $2 ECBs.  "Free" :o)
  • 1 Glade Fabric & Air - $3.99, used a $1 coupon (it was expired, I didn't see until I got up there but cashier just took it anyway), got $3 ECB.  "Free" :o)
  • 2 Oust - $3.99 each.  Used a Buy 1 Get 1 coupon, "paid" $3.99 got a $6 ECB.  $2.01 "money/ECB maker"  :o)
  • 2 Nivea Lip balm - $2.99/each.  Used a Buy 1 Get 1 Coupon.  $2.99
  • 1 Nivea body wash - $5.99.  Used a $2 coupon, $3.99, got back $5 ECB for buying $10 in Nivea.  Made the Nivea items just .66/each (and I am in love with the cherry lip balm now)!
Used $15.48 in ECB.  Paid $1.02 (including tax).  Got back $16 in ECB.  Not too bad.  :o)

This was two transactions.

I purchased the Axe first, it was on "sale" for $5 per two-pack...but get a $5 gift card when you buy 2, so really just $5 for both, and I had a $1 coupon for each pack.  So just $3, or .75 per body wash.  Not a bad deal for Axe.  I'm using the .75 price because I paid for those first and used the $5 gift card towards the rest of the items which I would have purchased anyway.

The Santa Spud was free (used a $5 coupon, but did not get overage...he was marked down to less than $2 anyway!)

Picked up two Leapfrog Tag books (Ava loves her new Tag!!  I still can't believe I got it for less than $3!!),  they were on sale for $9.99 and I used a $4 coupon on each to bring them down to $5.99.

The Tide was free, a Princess art thing, Princess hair tie, and Hello Kitty ribbons were all marked down to .25 each.  The Sharpie was .24, the Glad trash bags were $3.99 after using a Target & Mfr coupon on each box.

I bought a few other items and I have no idea what my total was because this is backdated as usual (someone please get on me to post more often so I don't have to backdate and so I don't forget things, haha!)...but, some good deals none the less :o)
